Where possible, we support a working pattern that suits your lifestyle and helps you reach your ambitions.Job Title: Mechanical OperativeLocation: TemplecombeHours: Monday to Thursday, 4 day working week - 9.25 hours a day on our Day ShiftThe Role Due to the growing demand of workload within the Towed Array Autonomous Production and Repair (APRU) Facility, a requirement has arisen for a full time manufacturing operator to join the manufacturing team.This role is vital to the success of the department and in its supply of products to other parts of Thales and its customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for the next step up in their career or someone interested in working in a manufacturing environment that has the key fundamental skills to carry out the role. Responsibilities:
- Perform Mechanical assembly operations, as defined by: - routings, manufacturing instructions, wiring schedules and drawings
- Identify and log faults
- Escalating Health and safety issues to the Team Leader
- Operating Machinery
- Genuine interest in working in a technical manufacturing role
- Able to grasp and develop technical skills
- Can follow instructions and work to tight deadlines
- Willingness to learn
- Currently hold or able to obtain SC level clearance at UK eyes only
- 4 day working week
