Advent Window Trail set to be held at Radstock Museum

By Guest 9th Nov 2021

A free Advent Window Trail is being held at Radstock Museum later this month.

The free event is taking place on Saturday 27th November between 11am and 5pm.

Weave your way around the one-way trail which will take around 30 minutes and see the lit up Advent Window scenes situated all around the museum. Find all 25 windows hand crafted by the museum's Education Team.

The museum can accommodate a maximum of 50 visitors in the museum at any one time at which point the next individual or family group will be allowed in as another individual or family group leaves.

A spokesperson said: "We believe the busiest time for those wishing to attend, will be during the afternoon - so we suggest for those who can come earlier in the day, to do so (especially around lunch time when we imagine it will be much quieter).

"The museum shop will be open for Christmas shopping but unfortunately the tearoom remains closed so we suggest getting refreshments at the Riverbank cafe on the bridge afterwards.

"Please wear a face covering and children bring a pencil if you remember! We have some to give away but might run out!"

The event is sponsored by Radstock Town Council and the museum would like to thank the council for its support. The Radstock Christmas Lights switch on takes place at 4:50pm on the evening of the 27th November.

Part of the trail will be available for paying visitors from Saturday 13th November for the two weeks prior to the free event on the 27th November.
