He built his own van, took on a totally new career: The Midsomer Norton mobile barber who is turning heads

Luke Battle has a fighting name and a fighting spirit.
Made redundant during the first months of coronavirus from his job as a chef, the Midsomer Norton resident set out on a new course and is now working overtime to make it a reality.
A chef all his working life, he found a taste for cutting hair, re-trained as a barber and decided that, given his own family experiences, that with time in short supply, his best option was to take his services mobile. So he built his own hairdressing van.
Luke explained to Nub News : " I've been a chef since leaving school but due to Covid I was made redundant, so I decided to turn this into a positive and took it as an opportunity to start a new career.
"I have four children, three of which are boys who like their haircut regularly, with barbers being closed during the pandemic I decided to start cutting their hair myself and found I really enjoyed it; it came naturally to me."
While he took on formal barbering training he also bought a van, which with helping hands from his 13 year old son Jacob, converted into his Barbershack - a fully equipped mobile van. So now he can come to your home or place of work and do hair cuts when it suits you.
Luke told Nub News: " As a parent I know how busy family life can be, so I thought I'd offer a service which takes the hassle out of having to go out to get a haircut. "
While his business is getting established, and the guidelines around coronavirus continue to change Luke continues to work part time at the Red lion in Bishop Sutton.
Clients can follow the Barbershack on Facebook HERE : his social site
