Familiar local face is appointed to B&NES Faith Foundation

Bath & North East Somerset's Faith Foundation has appointed two new Directors to join its Board.
The organisation, which exists to support, encourage and strengthen the work of religious groups across the district, acts as a conduit between faith groups and public bodies in ensuring they have a voice and have representation on issues that matter to them.
Secretary to the Faith Foundation, Mary Gill, said: "We're thrilled to announce today the appointment of two new directors to the Foundation, Nathan Hartley and Tiggy Sagar. Nathan is a former Deputy Leader at Bath & North East Somerset Council. He now runs a national PR consultancy working with businesses and charities and has a track record in fundraising for the community and voluntary sector. In his free time, he enjoys going on long walks and is the middle of writing his first book on the Sociology of Religion. Tiggy Sagar is a former Religious Studies Teacher. Her part-Jewish and part-Arabic heritage has given her a strong interest in multi-faith dialogue and discussion. When she isn't frequenting one of Bath's independent coffee shops she proof-reads TV and film scripts. We're delighted to welcome them both to the team!" The organisation also carries out research into socio-religious trends in Bath, Somerset and the wider area. Recently it has been working with Jewish and Sikh charities to ensure followers of each tradition are more widely supported and represented in the local area.
