Holly Court has been put up for auction.

The two-storey shopping arcade on Midsomer Norton High Street has been listed with an opening bid of £850,000.

It is home to a number of outlets including Essence Café, AK Pizza, a beauty salon and Shaws Fruit, Veg and Vintage and Soyful Kitchen, both of which opened this year.

The centre brings in annual rent of £98,973, which works out at just £12 per square metre.

According to the listing by agents Lambert Smith Hampton: "The property comprises a retail arcade arranged over ground and first floors. The communal area of the arcade comprises a pedestrian thoroughfare running from the High Street frontage to the rear of the property.

"There is an escalator to the rear of the property as well as a stairway providing access to the rear frontage at first-floor level which fronts the principal car park in the village. There is a further stairway accessible from the High Street frontage of the property.

"The retail units line the causeway through the arcade, with several units having additional frontages to either the High Street or the rear. The majority of tenants are small, boutique, businesses and the units reflect this use."

Holly Court Arcade will be sold at an online auction on October 19, 2022. Bidding is not yet open but will be activated at 12pm on the day and run until 4pm.
