Radstock in Bloom are delighted to announce that this year Radstock Has won:

The RHS Southwest in Bloom Ayre Cup trophy for best in Category Small Town 2022.

Radstock In Bloom is a group of people who volunteer creating flora displays, litter picking and street weeding and work together with other organizations, schools, and traders.

We would like to thank everyone that has contributed towards winning the Ayre Cup for Radstock. The last time the town won a trophy in the RHS Britain in bloom competition was nine years ago in 2013.

There are far too many groups to list here, and those groups have been invited to join us at this year Radstock in Bloom Presentation on Friday 21st Oct to receive their own certificates and awards to be held at Whisty Hall.

BUT special thanks must be given to some amazing partnerships.

The Radstock Knitters for all your bunting, knitted insects, flowers and yarn bombing. you surprise every year. Thank you for the addition of the Bee-Hive in 2022.

Radstock Traders who sponsor the maintenance of their hanging baskets throughout the season. This year we had a total of 50 hanging baskets in town.

Radstock Town Council who assist us both with funds through a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and support and advice with outside services and organisations.

2023 sees the 50th anniversary since the closures of the mines. Radstock's foundations and now heritage alongside other organisation we will be commemorating this anniversary. We will also continue to increase our sustainability and awareness of our local environment and reduce our environmental impact.

After a successful Peat- Free trail this year all of 2023 hanging baskets will be Peat-free compost and follow a similar colour scheme to the Somerset miners' flag of Red, Yellow, White and Green.
