Jacob Rees Mogg is self isolating as one of his children is tested for coronavirus

The local MP for North East Somerset, Jacob Rees Mogg has revealed that he and his family are self isolating awaiting the results of a coronavirus test on one of his children.

On Twitter the MP revealed the news as he thanked another MP for standing in for him in parliament today (September 10).

He wrote : " One of my children was tested for COVID-19 last weekend after displaying symptoms. In accordance with government guidance, the household has been in self-isolation while we await the test result."

The local mobile coronavirus testing site at Paulton football club is due to be closed by the end of today (September 10).

Jacob Rees Mogg is understood to be isolating in his London home.
