Your time will roughly be split 50/50 with care hours and office hours, you will need to work with the care staff to ensure that the residents are receiving the best care possible. On your care hours you will be expected to administer medication so therefore you must be current in meds training. Ideally you will have more than 2 years experience in either Team Leader or Deputy Manager role preferably in a dementia home or at least have experience of working with dementia clients. You must have NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care. You must have the ability to attend meetings with agencies such as CQC, Safeguarding, Social Services and all other supporting agencies including GPs.
