Anyone for strawberries?
They should be back this coming Saturday with the return of the Somerset Farmers Market at the Hollies in Midsomer Norton.
The market will be getting bigger again, with the addition of new and interesting food stalls including The Happy Forager aka Radstock's own Daniel Massey who has a huge Instagram following publicising and informing us what food is available locally, he will have a tasty and fascinating selection on sale including foraged and his own cultivated gourmet mushrooms...also ask him about his foraging workshops.
Nub News has a special feature about Dan's foraging, and how local is the way to go. You can read it by clicking HERE : Radstock Nub News
Omaggi is another local food business who have made a success of recreating the Scicilian Sweet Treat Cannoli using local ingredients such as Westcombe's Ricotta cheese.
Finally the market say they are thrilled to have Oliver Dowding with his apple juices and craft cider as a guest slot this month.
The new bread stall The Village Bakery from Rode will start in June.
