Miners Reunion in Radstock
The Miners' Annual Reunion took place once more, after an enforced gap, between 2:00 and 4:00 pm on 6 September in the Museum, thanks to the efforts of Julie Dexter and the Somerset Miners' Welfare Trust to organise it.
It took the form of an open afternoon with beer, tea and cakes rather than the usual sit down lunch event. It is a great chance to meet former colleagues and look around the Museum.
The opportunity is being taken to launch the issue of Lifetime Museum Free Entry Tickets for ex Mine workers in recognition of their part in making the history of the Somerset Coalfield.
Entry is open to all ex mine workers, doors open at 2:00 pm, no booking required. All attending are asked to wear a mask whilst moving around; it may be removed whilst taking refreshments.
