Popular local football club Paulton Rovers FC has reopened its doors after over seven months of closure due to the ongoing pandemic. Customers were welcomed back this weekend for outdoor table service ready for the club's full opening on Monday May 17.

Local B&NES Councillor for Paulton and club committee member, Grant Johnson, volunteered behind the bar to support the club as it reopened. He said: "It was a pleasure to lend a helping hand to the club, which is also my local. Up and down the country clubs like this have struggled under the pressures of closure and a lack of income due to Covid-19.

" I can only hope that as we open up, customers feel safe enough to return for a drink and a much needed catch up with friends. The club is offering everyone free membership for a year to support customers, so I hope to see faces new and old coming in for a drink."

Barperson Sarah Delaney who works at Paulton Rovers added: "The committee and management team have spent a lot of time making sure the premises is Covid secure so that we can make those returning as comfortable as possible. We will be waiting tables, so everyone can come in and relax as we will have everything sorted for you. We are also going to be starting our monthly afternoon tea events, raising much needed funds for local projects and charities. We have one on the 18th raising money for The Paulton Larder followed by one on June 8th, which will be supporting Care for Casualties."

The opening hours for Paulton Rovers will be :

Monday: 7:00pm -11:00pm

Tuesday-Friday: 6:15pm-11:00pm

Saturday: 12:00pm-11:00pm

Sunday: 11:15am-10:30pm
