The Peasedown Play Park, after a £25,000 refurbishment project by B&NES Council (in partnership with Peasedown Community Trust) will officially re-open this coming Monday (August 29).

The play park has re-opened as 'Jubilee Park' and the ribbon will be cut by local councillors Karen Walker and Sarah Bevan, and the Chairman of the Peasedown Community Trust, Gavin Heathcote.

After several years of lobbying, councillors were able to secure £25,000 from the council for this play equipment to be replaced and updated.

To mark the occasion, they have invited all the local families to join them in the park on Bank Holiday Monday at 2pm. Drinks and refreshments will be provided.

The park, which first opened in 2003, is being renamed in honour of HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
