Planning news in and around Midsomer Norton this week:

8 Dymboro Avenue, in Midsomer Norton, under 22/02841/FUL has put in an application for a wo storey rear extension and single storey side extension.

31 May Tree Road, in Westfield, has put in an application for a a single-storey front, side and rear extension. Details under 22/01824/FUL

17 Frome Road, in Radstock has put in an application to remove a Birch tree. 22/02913/TCA

And also in Radstock 4 Morley Terrace has put in an application for tree works including cutting back a Cherry tree which the homeowner say has never been pruned. 22/02898/TCA

Planning decisions made this week by B&NES include:

Somerton House Surgery, on 79A North Road, is going to expand after planners gave the go ahead for a first floor extension to give the clinic extra office space.

Permitted, a single-storey side extension at 33 Hillside Avenue, in Midsomer Norton.

Also permitted a single-storey side and rear extension for 8 Hill View, in Farrington Gurney.

Permitted, the building of a single-storey extension to principal elevation at 35 Thicket Mead, Midsomer Norton.

A planning condition has been discharged on the application to build a new two storey, three bed home at 12 Milton Road, Westfield.

While Integrity Print Ltd, on First Avenue, in Westfield, has been permitted to place four x 40ft containers and three x 20ft containers for long term storage on the site.

In Radstock, 14 Waldegrave Terrace has permission to put on a front porch.

While the garages between 28 and 29, Waldegrave Terrace will be demolished and a new two-bedroom dwelling will be built on the site, following a successful planning application.
