August Sunday Session & Somerset Food Trail
Rockaway Park
Family
UNTIL Sunday 30th July

These popular family-friendly Sunday Sessions always have plenty going on, and the July event is no exception! As well as being part of the Somerset Food Trail festival, there's music, open studios, and a market of local artists, crafters and makers. Plus, the RSPB are joining us to chat with anyone who wants to ask questions, share ideas and gain inspiration from the charity on how to help nature survive and thrive.
Rockaway are also delighted to be part of the Somerset Food Trail, which celebrates the best, most sustainably produced local food. It's the first of its kind - a countywide festival of food that focuses specifically on nature-friendly farmers and artisan producers, who are leading the transition to a new era of regenerative 'agro-ecological' farming, to cut emissions, restore wildlife and produce better, tastier, more nourishing food.
The Vegan Cafe use ingredients from the Rockaway Community Forest Garden and, for this festival of food, the following home-made, organic options are on offer:
- Seitan 'Steak' In Beurre Blanc Sauce
- Stuffed Mushroom Parcel
- Wellington
- Lasagne
- Satay Cauliflower
- Nut Roast
These Sunday Sessions are free to attend with a £5 parking fee, but you'll need to book your Sunday lunch in advance to help limit food waste. All the details, including how to book, are available on Our Events page.
We also have the popular Yoga + Roast Club taking place on this date with Rockaway's yoga teacher Maddie, which begins at 11.30am in the Rockaway House. Feeling suitably zen, you then tuck into a delicious vegan roast from the cafe. For all the details and to book a place, please also see Our Events page.
