We're thrilled that Commoners Choir are coming to Rockaway to perform! Dedicated to singing about the world around us; its inequalities and injustices, the park will be awash with their incredible 4-part vocal harmony. Founded by former lead guitarist Boff Whalley, of anarcho-punk and folk band Chumbawamba, the choir are based in Leeds, and gather to sing wherever seems fitting. For a taster of their songs, here's the excellent Enough is Enough.

The choir is supported by the awesome Steve Lake (Zounds and Blood, Moon, Wedding) with his one-man show 'Acts of Resistance,' which features a mix of poetry, prose and music to trace the history of protest in Britain. Steve first performed this show at the Rockaway Arts Weekend, in September 2022, where he blew the audience away, so don't miss the chance to see his powerful and thought-provoking performance!

The Vegan Cafe will be serving a range of hot food, savoury snacks, cakes and beverages, plus there's a bar selling cans and a market of local independent traders selling arts, crafts, clothing, herbal remedies and merch.
