Back to school in Midsomer Norton - with full details of all the other lockdown easings which have come in today June 1

Pupils from two year groups were back at the local Midsomer Norton Primary today (June 1) with the headteacher reporting it was like a normal school day.

On their social media channel the school put out photos of some pupils from Year 1 hard at work.

It is not clear how many pupils have returned to school around Midsomer Norton and Radstock - with some parents going onto social media to report they were not happy about the return.

Meantime the government has published full guidance of all the relaxing of lockdown measures in force from today - including details about training sessions by athletes and which businesses are now allowed to open.

The new guidelines allow people to spend time outdoors, including private gardens and other outdoor spaces, in groups of up to six people from different households.
