The latest from the Radstock MP : All about Helping Hands
Jacob Rees Mogg MP writes:
Recently, Linzi Jones who is the Keynsham Branch Care Manager for Helping Hands, wrote to let me know that there are carer vacancies available and wanted me to pass this information on to any constituents who are looking for a new position and want to work in a rewarding profession.
Helping Hands is a company that provides care services at home on a live-in or visiting basis, helping to promote independence and quality of life. It offers assistance and companionship at home or a chosen carer will be able to support those able to enjoy outdoor interests, holidays and social events.
There are a variety of roles performed by Helping Hands employees. Live-in care provides continuous help from a dedicated, trained carer who can help twenty-four hours a day. This alleviates the weight on the shoulders of family or friends and a programme is tailor made after the person's needs are evaluated. Alternatively, the visiting care option can offer regular support in short bursts. With loneliness being one of the worst things an older person can face having a visiting carer can make a great deal of difference to mental health and wellbeing.
Helping Hands also offers specialist dementia care, which aims to reduce the effects and symptoms of dementia, whilst offering reassurance to the individual and their families. Helping Hands understands that a change of routine and environment can be overwhelming for sufferers, which is why more families are investing in home care over residential.
Caring is an exceptionally important profession. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Ms Jones if you would like to make a difference or require any further information about Helping Hands: [email protected].
