Winning ways from the Midsomer Norton radio station Somer Valley FM
Somer Valley FM, the local radio station for North East Somerset,
based in Midsomer Norton had another winner of a FM DAB radio at the Clutton Flower Show. " As the lockdown eases, I want to remind our local community Somer Valley FM are here for them, with a stronger and longer line- up of presenters than ever before' Richard Burgess, Station Manager, commented. "Clutton Flower show was perfect for our first outside broadcast since the pandemic stopped us all meeting in groups. "The day itself was a great success, with varied attractions including the famous flower show, through to strongest man competition, live music, ferret racing and classic cars and trucks. A splendid day, brilliantly organised, with fun for all the family. " Richard added: "The weather was very good. I caught the sun so intensely, that I could have entered the beetroot competition myself come the day's end." With over 20 dedications completed for play -out on Somer Valley FM, a competition was held to win a radio, when a song request was made. Congratulations to the winner, Clare Green, who asked for a dedication for her son, Ben, on passing his college course. "This was another example of how many fabulous local attractions and societies we have in North East Somerset. We're looking forward to returning next year. With sunblock ! " said Richard.
