A bereaved family have put out a heart-breaking appeal to see if there is anyone locally who can help them track down an important and favourite dress.

They have asked readers to share this post and see if anyone can help them get back the dress, which they would dearly love to have in time for their mother's funeral service in just over a week.

Ninety four year old Joan Paisley from Peasedown passed away at Bloomfield Care Home in Paulton on September 14.

Daughter Tracey Hembry got in touch with Nub News with a desperate and urgent appeal for help.

When the family collected Joan's personal items the next day a favourite dress - the one they hoped she would wear for the cremation - was missing.

The family say that they have contacted Bloomfield on several occasions but were told yesterday that staff have searched every room, the laundry and lost property and the dress doesn't appear to be there.

Tracey said: " So please ... We are making a plea to any relatives whose mum, sister, grandmother might have died there since March to September could check if they were sent home this dress by mistake?

We only have eight days to find it before the funeral a week on Friday."
