Midsomer parents did you get your preferred secondary place?

According to a press release from the local council, nine out of ten families in Bath and North East Somerset have been offered a place at their first choice of secondary school for admissions this September.

Bath & North East Somerset Council received 1787 applications for secondary school places for admission into the 2020/2021 academic year.

Personally I blame Disney. The custom of anthropomorphising animals of all types and sizes has conferred upon them a romantic status that has released their carers from the imperatives of stewardship and reality. Moreover the prospect of sending animals to their death for food has become abhorrent to many.
